A city map like this gives a real perspective of where you are and where you want to go, unlike the little snippets you get on your phones that are so out of context. If you want to travel and really get to know a city like Chicago, maps like these are the only thing that'll really help you do it. Rand McNally is the best because it locates EVERY road by name and makes all 77 Chicago neighborhoods much easier to find and get to know. You can't go wrong, especially at this low price!

I used this map to help build a campaign for the Dresden Files RPG game. We used it to draw out lay lines and to mark areas that we wanted to have adventures in. This map is amazing. Even still has the Sear Tower named correctly.

My great-grandfather moved to Chicago from Holland and built a house there himself, by hand. His children were all born in that house, and my grandmother lived at 14 different addresses before buying a house. I was able to highlight all of these addresses on this map.

I gave up on the ever-shrinking Chicago map from AAA, and looked to Rand McNally for something more like the old style larger scale map. This appears to be larger and more complete. It even has a street index, which AAA dropped many years ago.

Map of Chicago. What more can one say? It's not compact, but Chicago has a lot of streets. Maps really help more than internet or gps when you are making plans. Get a paper map and use post-its and highlighters. Totally worth it and makes you able to visualize the city much better.

Incredibly helpful. I have been familiar with Chicago from about North Avenue thru the Loop and much of the South and West sides, but I knew nothing about the North East side. So when I moved to the Portage Park area, I really needed a street-by-street map, all the way up to the beginning of the suburbs.This map does the job. This is interesting information that you can't find elsewhere. Marchant has spent years working variations on brioche stitches, and has lots of experience in teaching and explaining these techniques. The book is clearly laid out, well organized, and well photographed. I highly recommend the book. I am the kind of person who finds knitting books interesting to flip through, but usually there are only a few pages that I would want to remember, and I don't even care to house the book on my shelves for that. This book is different. You get lots of clear photos of interesting and attractive allover textural patterns that can be made using tuck stitches. It's a very useful reference volume for designing your own knitting projects. I'm very happy to have this book.

Nancy Marchant is amazing! I was inspired to learn two color brioche after discovering her book knitting fresh brioche. This new book is exciting and also includes inspirational projects. Having worked in customer service for nearly fifteen years, I found that companies can hire great customer care employees, but if a company's bottom line is making money and following a one-size-fits-all robotic scripts to service all its customers, customer service will not make a comeback. On the other hand, if these same companies who continue to hire non-qualified caring individuals, they will not continue to succeed.Rule number eight talks about being professional and this is something that has long disappeared in customer service. There are other valuable rules in this book, but none if it will mean a thing unless companies start caring more about their employees and their customers instead of lining their wallets. This book would have been great ten years ago, but the author may be a little over zealous with this title as it pertains to mid-sized to large corporations. However, smaller businesses may benefit from these rules.

I don’t leave many reviews, as a matter of fact I don’t leave reviews at all, but I just finished this book and I’m so impressed I couldn’t not give five stars.It is simple and fast read (appreciate those being a foreigner), each chapter is concise with the great life examples. This book should be a part of onboarding packet for each employee , irrespective of industry. Great material!

While I don't agree 100% that the customer is always right (I'm around 95%), this book is chock full of great advice for making sure your customers are happy enough to not only come back, but also bring more people with them. Sometimes customers just ask for things that will lead to the destruction of your business model. Mr. Cockerell's experience with Disney should not be discounted. Everyone around the world knows Disney, and replicating that kind of global success should be your goal.

Purchased this book as a read for myself, being a manager, I've begun using it for staff meetings to help coach my staff. Would recommend this book for anyone in customer service.
