The font (if that term can be applied) that the notes are written in is more difficult to read than most other music instruction books, Voxman's Selected Duets for Saxophone, Vols 1 and 2, for example. The exercises in the Kynaston book look like they were handwritten, they are very dark, and there is little spacing between them.

This is a must for all serious saxophone students.

Very nice book. I purchased this as Texas State University required me to, but the font is so thick which can be a little aggravating at first.

I thought this was a begging rs book learn to playing the practices to up grade there playing. Wromg. You have best know to read complicated musical notes. They are more for the intermediate or pro. My daughter is just a new student and THIS IS NOT FOR A BEGINNER. ..

Great if you're trying to work on scale patterns. I am more of a visual learner so this was perfect for me when visualizing the patterns didn't work.

I recently bought the third edition of *The Spiritual Exercises of ECK* by Harold Klemp after owning the second edition for years. This book has 131 spiritual exercises for understanding dreams, solving problems, achieving self-mastery, Soul Travel, meeting true spiritual guides, protection, and more. Practicing these simple exercises for 15 to 20 minutes a day allows me to get in direct contact with the Light and Sound of God, the Holy Spirit (ECK). I can now contact my own Inner Guidance, know the causes of my own problems and how to solve them, learn from past-life and present-life lessons, and experience spiritual freedom from so many of the troubles that plague mankind. These exercises (especially the HU) give me greater understanding of relationships, personal choices, and how to go beyond human ignorance and suffering. Iâ€™m unfolding in love and wisdom, developing more self-confidence, tapping into wells of creativity, seeing fears disappear, and appreciating miracles all around. The Spiritual Exercises of ECK also give me the means to meet and learn from ECK Masters who are always available and willing to teach when â€œthe student is readyâ€ and asks. Iâ€™m very grateful for this book that shows me how to continue changing my life in every way for the better.

Loved this exercise . . .I sent my brother a copy of this book and he loved it also, particularly the exercise called "Movie Screen." In the past, I hadn't been successful using my spiritual "inner vision." I had always thought, when closing my eyes, I had to look straight ahead, and look for a black screen. I would stare at the place between the eyebrows or third eye, getting nothing more than a headache. This exercise confirmed that a black screen wasn't necessary. Gray or white was ok and to look about 10 degrees to the side. I did. Then from the then right corner of my eye I saw a soft, beautiful, parklike setting!When I repeat this exercise and can go back to the park and walk around. Amazing.I guess before now I had been trying too hard. It is really hard to find a book that deals well with such a subjective topic. My brother and I recommend I the book.

The Spiritual Exercises of ECK by Harold Klemp is one of my favorite books (both hard copy and Kindle). It has helped me get through some very challenging times, given me new insights on my life, and helped me to make my life more meaningful and enjoyable. There is an exercise I have used repeatedly called "Controlling Your Own Mind"--an absolute life-saver, and one that anyone facing difficulties can use. It kept me from melting down when we were facing the real estate meltdown of a few years ago. Then there is the "Broom Technique", to sweep away obstacles that keep you from achieving a rightful goal. We used it when an important package hadn't arrived. We had done our part but somehow, there was a blockage that kept the delivery from being completed. Within one day of practicing this exercise, the package arrived--after a 3 week wait! This is not a magic wand to make up for what you didn't do; it's a way to see beyond the limitations you build up in your own mind, preventing your goals from manifesting.But The Spiritual Exercises of ECK goes beyond just solving day to day problems. These exercises give you a better picture of who you really are and what your true mission in life is.To unlock a wellspring of your own creative energies, crack open this book and find a key! It will open doors for you that will change your life for the better.

As good as any of the best ECK books. I am not a practitioner, but study (and apply) many different traditions. You can't go wrong with book.Just remember that we live in a camouflage reality, so if the exercises don't agree with your modality, that doesn't mean they don't work, just try something else, or imagine your own.

Many people in the world meditate to create calm and a feeling of being centered. This book takes inner work into an entirely new level. With simple active exercises this book took me to levels of heaven where I regularly experience the Light and Sound, the twin pillars of God. I do this before I go to sleep and watch my dreams nightly. Before I found these exercises life was quite random. Now, it has direction. I have met ECK Masters and other high beings who show me the best direction for me to take in my life. Even in every day simple things! Highly recommend.

Every exercise helps me to expand my consciousness. SO helpful to have a roadmap to do that. I wouldn't go to a foreign country without a travel guide if I wanted to experience it fully. It's the same with our spiritual travels.

I followed many of the exercises in this book. They changed my life. I have found balance and freedom and love in many things. I have been grateful to have a few key healings and have accomplished much in my life given the techniques in this book.It is nice because it is also not an beginning-to-end book. I could flip through it to find a topic that interests me and went from there. It's an easy read on a Kindle too.

If what you are looking for is a coloring book filled with intricate detail, this probably isn't the book for you. If, however, what you want is charm, whimsy, and a style all its own, I really think you can't go wrong with Kawaii Coloring Book. The art is pretty simple (as I have tried to demonstrate in the photos I included), but there are all sorts of subjects to color. There's food, bunnies, hearts, even robots and monsters. Even the spiders in this book are cute! This book is one image per page. It never fails to make me smile while I color. I think I'll be buying a second copy!

For all of the adult coloring books that exist right now, it's been particularly hard to locate one with cute doodles or 'kawaii'. That's why I'm so glad that I found this book. I really like how it has a variety of different coloring pages, from cupcakes to robots to flowers to skulls. The pages are one sided on quality paper; I have been using gel pens and have experienced very slight bleed through due to the gel pens having a heavy flow. The designs are just the right amount of complicated....the pages are filled with the drawings but are not overwhelming. Overall, a fantastic purchase and I'm likely to buy another copy. A definite recommendation!

Good range of complexity. Cute content. Binding is low quality, due to what appears to be not enough glue being used. The front half of the pages were detatched from the spine when it arrived. I glued them back in, but after coloring only 3 pages, now the back 18 pages are coming loose from the spine.

So The cover is adorable and maybe 30 of the 40 pages are. However, the other 10 pages look like they don't even belong. They seem like they should be in another book. They don't seem like they are drawn similar to the cute ones. They really aren't cute at all. Very frustrated about that. I will have to say that the cute pictures are ADORABLE!!! So, so cute!

This coloring book is better than I thought it would be. The pictures are absolutely adorable and they vary from being very blank to super detailed. The mostly blank pictures are fun because they allow you do create your own patterns within the drawings. The very detailed drawings require colored pencils or ink pens because of the fine lines, but they're just as fun. The book consists of only single-paged drawings so you don't have to worry about the colors bleeding through the back of the page onto another drawing. I love this coloring book!

This is one of my favorite coloring books. The images are cute and fun to color. The paper is decent quality. Markers do bleed through the paper but the images are one sided so just stick a piece of paper in between the pages you are working on so the bleed through doesn't go to the next page. I use all mediums in this book including markers, gel pens, pencils, and stickles.

This coloring book is absolutely adorable ! The ONLY problem that I personally have is that most of the coloring pages just have TOO much going on in them. It's like a kawaii mandala that you're trying to color in lol. I know it's different for everyone but just for me it was a little too much in most of the pages

I love this coloring book!!! I've got so many "adult coloring books". I didn't like any of them (all the fine details too stressful for me) then I came across this coloring book. It can easily be for children and adults. The book is really cute and the pictures make smile.

I loved Legacy of Kings and so I was eagerly anticipating the sequel, Empire of Dust. I absolutely loved the sequel! There is magic, betrayal, murder, attempted murder, a little romance, and a lot of surprises. There were some plot twists that I didn't see coming and I love that! There were also some unanswered questions and I hate that! I need book three stat!One thing I love is how Eleanor Herman weaves a lot of factual history into the story. For example, one of the (minor) characters in this story was Artaxerxes, ruler of Persia, who in his youth, murdered eighty of his brothers to win the throne. Hephaestion and Alexander did actually have a close relationship with one another in real life. I had a hard time with Legacy of Kings the first in this series, but Empire of Dust was fantastic. I'm going back to reread Legacy of Kings as I think I missed out on what was going on. It's a bit like Game of Thrones - lots of characters in different areas - and I didn't appreciate what was going on in the first book. But now I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series. But I really need to reread that first one!

I loved this sequel to Legacy of Kings! There's so much double crossing and betrayal! The history has been expertly weaved with magical fantasy! I really loved reading from all the different point of views

This is the third and best book in the series IMO. Enjoy the magic, the mystery, and the adventure. Author knows how to weave a story.

Purchased this for someone else who couldn't seem to put it down.

Joan Morgan's "She Begat This: Twenty Years of the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" is a priceless window into the journey Black women have taken through the minefields marking their path through popular culture, a journey filled with triumph and moments of self discovery as well as tragedy and pain. I have always admired Joan Morgan's ability to live with, and write about irony, contradiction and ambiguity while never giving in to despair or refusing moments of joy. This book positions Lauryn Hill as a figure whose persona and creative spirit not only elevated hip hop to its highest levels, but gave Black Women new ways to position themselves and imagine themselves. I say this, not with the presumption that I have the authority to speak for Black women, but as someone admires any writer who encourages people to live with contradictions and escape the boxes they are put in, sometimes by those with good intentions. Joan Morgan is such a writer. She is a prophet of freedom and self-discovery.

Because of my deep interest in female emcees and Hip-Hop culture, I am eternally grateful to Joan Morgan for this work. Her research answered so many questions and offered a thoughtful and nuanced assessment of the impact of Hill's Miseducation album. Yes, I was in my 40s when the album dropped, but I was amazed, impressed and taken when I heard it, as were my daughters who were young adults. Morgan's interrogation of Lauryn Hill as a gifted artist and so much more, helped me think through why we responded to the album in the way that we did. The reflections and observations offered by scholars, producers, culture critics, is pure icing, again I learned so much! Morgan brings the juice, the tea, and a complete and satisfying meal. She is a writer's writer who puts words together in a way that leaves you just shaking your head and sighing because it's pure genius. Read this book!!!!!!!!

With She Begat This Morgan offers context to help us get at the truth to why we fell in love with Hill and Miseducation in the first place. Morgan takes readers back to the zeitgeist and volksgeist that engendered the album so that contemporary listeners, and oldheads with new understandings, can learn what Miseducation spoke to and for black women in that generation. While reading, I was reminded of why we still love Miseducation and Hillâ€Šâ€”â€Šit is a dope ass album gifted to us by a magical ass black woman. Weâ€™ve wanted more of it and her. But Morgan and her scholar-sister-friends also look back to show us what we did with that which was gifted to us in our thirst for more of it. We created something of the art and artist then , and weâ€™ve co-created what the art and artist have become.

Iâ€™m disappointed in this book. Iâ€™m familiar with the author so I was excited about this book. I love Lauryn but this book fell flat. Itâ€™s a bunch of blog worthy posts combined into a book. In describing Laurynâ€™s style it becomes this long winded breakdown of her attire. It reads as a fan thatâ€™s sharing info with her friends. Random interviews, and etc.

It is a good book that really makes me think.

For those interested in knowing more about Lauryn's life within the context of the times and multiple dynamics of the era, this book is great.

Amazingly written. A lot of time and research was put into the book. I can appreciate Lauryn and her album so much more now.
