Do you have a quirky sense of humor (that some people outside of your mind refer to as 'sick')? This may be just the book for you! My dad and I love T-Rexs, and have been told we have an odd sense of humor...I heard of "T-Rex Trying" and looked it over! After wetting myself laughing at it, I knew I had found dad's 69th birthday present!!! Total home run, he loved it as much as I did...as did many family members... the one that got the biggest laughs? Sun tan lotion :-)

Bought this book as a going away present for a good co-worker friend who is leaving town for a new job. Our office has an ongoing gag where we share funny videos and pictures involving T-Rex dinosaurs doing silly things (think the popular blow-up suits that people wear) and we call it "T-Rex Tuesdays." The co-worker who is leaving is the one who started it, so I knew I had to get him a gift that is T-Rex themed. When I found this book I knew it would be perfect. It came in perfect condition. I took it around the office and each person signed a page with a comic that resonated with them in some way or another. Everyone got a kick out of it and most people commented that they want to buy the book for themselves. It was a huge hit, and the co-worker was presented with the book today at his going away party. Whether this is for a child, as a funny gift, or even for yourself, this book is hilarious, and a perfect conversation starter for all ages and demographics. Thank you, Hugh Murphy!

Great book. Love it. Mine is printed upside down. When I open the front cover, the last page is there instead of he title page. It is backwards and upside down. So I flipped it and opened it from the back. Everything is there and it's in great shape. Just odd that it was printed as such.

This book was hilarious! I laughed so much my face and sides hurt!

This book is hysterical. Perfect for your coffee table. I had found it in an Amazon store originally and had been thinking about it ever since. each page is an illustration of a T Rex trying to do something, with a caption. They have short arms, big bodies, big heads etc - so basically everything for them is awkward and comical.

This book is definitely adult humor (but not in a censored way) and has many more pages than anticipated. We purchased it as a gift for our nephew, however my brother is getting way more fun from it for now!

I found this very funny. After I read it, I continued to have "flashes" of different pages (ie. thinking of "T-Rex clapping") and would giggle. I finally bought a few for friends, just so I would be the only one doing this! I have a sticker now on my car that reads "I love you this mu...! Whoops!" with a T-Rex barely holding out its arms...

I've given two of these as gifts and even months later both people mention them to me, post little clips on FB from the book or otherwise bring it up. Hilarious gift for the dino lover. Each page contains one drawing with a caption of 'T-Rex trying xxx' such as "T-Rex trying to paint a house" or "T-Rex trying to make the bed".Quick easy read and worth the price. Printing is good, cover quality is good.

I love a good cookbook! Some you fix only one or two recipes from the book and wonder if it is worth the shelf space. This is worth prime cookbook local! I have made 5 recipes from this book and all turned out either very good or excellent.The chicken, mushroom and rice soup is like a dessert- so good and the BBQ chicken with cornbread crust I made today will be thoroughly enjoyed by a very selective teen daughter. I have found Southern Living recipes to be consistently reliable. The ingredients are family friendly and the recipes don't have 7 different steps. I wont say these are light recipes but I think they modify well. The Chicken Spinach lasanga was very good- and fattening. I did add extra vegetables to justify! I just ordered it for my sister because I keep talking about what I am cooking. Love Amazon Prime free shipping.

I asked them where they got the recipe and they told me it was from this recipe book I gave them. They said they've tried several of the recipes and they have all been good. The recipes use the juicy tender Rotisserie Chicken already prepared from any grocery deli that will save hours of time in the kitchen! My husband LOVES ALL of the recipes! I have owned this cookbook for years, and just bought another as a present it is so good. So many AWESOME recipes, and we have not been disappointed with the 10 we have tried so far. It also contains recipes for side dishes to serve with the main chicken dish. Also gives hints and suggestions for each recipe. The best part of the recipes is that they are not complicated and usually contain ingredients most people already own. And even if you have to buy a new spice, it is something that can be used on multiple recipes or even with other dishes.

I really like this book. Somehow, I've misplaced my previous copy...so I bought another.Handful of really, really good recipes that are quick...assuming that you shred the rotisserie chicken previously. I usually do this step a few days in advance and leave the shredded chicken in the freezer. Everything tastes homemade. Kids love it...as long as I don't make the same recipes too frequently.

Great recipes using an already-cooked rotisserie (or other method) chicken/turkey. Not great for instructions on how to cook (rotis) the bird--these recipes for for the finished bird. Really great recipes of all kinds. I'm not a great cook and this helped me a lot. I do recommend it highly.

I have driven over the bridge and know of its importance and the thrill of going from one side to the other. Based on the other reviews I was hesitant to purchase the physical book and I'm glad I listened. It's definitely not worth $50, but I feel okay about it at the Kindle price. Be aware, this book is very short, I was kind of surprised when I reached the end. That being said, it will take me a while to really digest and understand the content so it's good for a reference manual.Based on the concerns other reviewers noted about the photos in the printed book I wanted to mention the photos were very clear in the digital format. That being said, I wish some of the hand drawn diagrams were at a higher resolution.I found the explanation for the different types of joints to be very helpful. I'm pretty new to all this (been trying to build an armature for 3 months now) and despite my online research have not come across any other source that details these various joints and how to build them. It definitely has me thinking about different ways I can tackle some challenges.An additional thing I really wish this included was a generic armature schematic with measurements and the types of joints at each location. Another book I have "Stop Motion: Craft Skills for Model Animation" by Susannah Shaw contains one such diagram, but unfortunately the resolution is too small to be able to read the measurements.The main takeaway I got was the need for more machining equipment if I really want to take this seriously. For now I'm just going to continue with my inaccurate use of a dremel and hand drills.

An informative book for beginners to machining an armature and deals solely with the different types of joints involved with Stop Motion work and why they are chosen. I suggest reading up on machining or have a book dealing with machining on hand in case things get too technical. Overall the author provides insight into the types of materials and ways to help machining easier, especially if the metals are hard or soft. I do wish I had spent the money to get this earlier as the tips on drilling aluminum would have probably saved my drill from burning out.

First I'll state that as a shop manual the information contained within this book is great and indispenable. The author cleary describes the processes and tools needed to build stop motion armatures. What is disappointing is the quality of the book itself. I have a few books for which I have paid fifty dollars for (The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation, Ray Harryhausen: An Animated Life, Industrial Light and Magic: The Art of Special Effects) and I have never had buyers remorse. The same cannot be said here. The cover belies the interior quality. This book is approximately one quarter inch thick with poor quality paper stock which I can only describe as better than a childs coloring book. All of the photographs are black and white. Many are extremely grainy with contrast that is too high and resolution so poor that it is hard to see what is being described accurately (See figures 2-10, 3-4, 3-5, 3-10, 4-9, 4-10, 4-13 as examples). Not what I expected at this price point. The same information also applies to Stop-Motion Puppet Sculpting. I strongly suggest you either buy used or take what I have written into consideration before purchasing new.

This book explains how to machine the most common joints. Detailed instructions accompany shop drawings for each joint type. The author also covers advanced universal joints. The book assumes you have access to a lathe and mill. I believe the author uses Sherline equipment to demonstrate his work. Recommended for anyone who is interested in creating professional-quality armatures and also wants to learn machining basics.

Great intro to building armatures. Goes over the machining in great detail. Awesome for a beginner machinist like myself. Great job.

This book is a little pricey but for what you learn is priceless,myStop-Motion Armature have gone to the next level.As we all know,a good Armature is well over 300 dollars,just for one,So you do the math.

Good book, lots of useful detail unfortunately the photographs are not up to the quality of the information. I would recommend the book with that reservation.
