I'm afraid I only made it through the first 10% before giving up so I can't tell if it gets any better, it certainly can't get much worse. Absolute drivel. Sorry Corey but keep trying.
When I read the description of the book, I thought it could go one of two ways: either I’d love it or hate it. Well, I loved it. It reminds me of Hitchhiker’s Guide but with more action. Thad is a character I can relate to. Earth is destroyed and it’s up to him and a collection of friends he meets to build an alliance to take down the evil space dictator Derask. A bit tropey? Sure, but it works. I hope there is a part 2.
I rolled the dice on this new release from an unknown to me author and am glad I did. The main character, Thad, is a reluctant hero who grows into the role as the story progresses. The book doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s a fun adventure that made me want to see how it ended.
This is a great and invigorating read. I thoroughly enjoyed the story line and it kept me gripped throughout. I do not want to give too much away, so I will just say that this is a MUST READ for anyone that enjoys sci-fi thrillers with great storylines.
This is fun book. If you’re looking for some hard scifi space opera, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for an outrageous adventure full of weird characters, then buy this book. I highly recommend it.
Fleck pulled me in with his motley set of characters and held my curiosity with clever and hilarious escapades. I can't wait for another book!
